yea i have been blessed to find a solid car in wi.  Its all comming along but im going to need a new front fender so i hope i can get my hands on one.  I also need weatherstripping and dew wipes for both doors.  i have actually owned this car for 3 years so im happy i finally get to tear into it.  it has not been my daily driver but now i have enough space in the garage.

i didnt lower the bird i bought it like that.  I think the shocks and struts are bad and the springs were cut so i have been looking at sn95 stuff.  I also took off the ten holes and put on snowflakes because the front and rear tires are not the same size and i didnt like the look.  as of that picture the only things i had done were take off the body kit, replace motor mounts (the old one broke and was chained and masterlocked down), and i got a 87 turbo hood from a friend in milwaukee.
heres a pic of the soon to be done rear quarter and there is a new video in the photobucket account with the 3 inch exhaust.

I have never used hi-temp paint in an engine compartment and have never had a problem. Keep us posted on how everything goes. Maybe you'll find some parts at the big Jefferson Swap Meet this weekend. Great job so far!!

well my dads 4.6 f150 lost a head gasket so that has been comsuming most of my time.  we are almost done, hope to fire it up tommarow.  i have sanded down some of the bay in my car and should be able to start painting it soon.  i think im just going to use rattle can gloss black paint from an auto parts store.  any suggestions?

High temperature paint isn't needed in the engine compartment. If you are using spray-bombs, just use a good quality product. If you are using automotive enamel or urethane, you will have no problems at all. In fact, I frequently paint engines with regular urethane with no problems due to heat.
