I never posted any of my cars (because I never really posted at all) however I figured I'd show a bit of what I have.
The newly found interest is that I just picked up an 88 xr7 white with grey two tone leather interior and a moonroof.
I bought my first cougar in 1991 or 1992 so I could ween myself off of building mustangs..Of course I soon found out...It wasnt soon thereafter I had a mustang HO motor and a t5 in it with the larger turbocoupe brakes and rear disk. This was actually back when we had to look through wiring diagrams to figure out how to convert!
Anyway I am not much a picture taken but I do have a few to share..And When I pick up the new one..Ill make sure to take some before shots
The Cougar below I had sold to a local kid. Stock ho stang swap with a t5 and exhaust ran mid 13's ll day long...He ran a 13 into a tree and remarkably walked way without a scratch....Of course they hd to cut the roof off:O) I bought it back for parts
my 87 xr7 turbo..The first shot is the original motor I built. Tfs high ports gt40 E cam sn89 paxton, Mac headers and 3 inch exhaust..was a loud one...Next photo is th enewer turbo motor in partial completion...And my interior after the grigs suspension and in floor subframe install.
Are you the guy I see on smallblockposse from time to time?
WTF!
How the hell do you not get hurt/DEAD from that...
And how did he even manage to hit like that, Watch Too much "Tokyo Drift"? :hick:
Welcome! Cool Stuff. :burnout:
Now I know what people mean by "wrapped it around a tree"
Its like a 1" wide!
damon how did u survive? Hell i didn't know you had a cougar. But nice and my sn on sccoa is 1990xr7sc.Oh and welcome over to the dark side lol.
Yeah Im the SCCOA guy..The SBP guy... I was on Coolcats when the site firts went up. Typical ford guy that owns a stang(a few supercoupes)..But my favorite of all cars are the fox body cougars. Like I said I bought my first cougar to get away from building cars. I had no idea it was a fox chasis untill I broke my exhaust off. Thats when it all went down hill! My black car went through many changes and currently sports a turbocharged v8, auto, and full griggs suspension (except k member which was from D&D) It's been on the back burner for the past 10 years projetc wise.
The white cougar I sold to a local kid who weighed no more then 120lbs soaking wet..THATS WHY he got out without a scratch..I would have had no legs. Subfames helped Im sure. So in about 3 hours Ill be picking up my new toy..The 1988 xr7...And will probably be looking for cheap sn95 upgrades I can use for it. I want to keep it 4 lug so I can throw some snowflakes on it..I have three sets!
Anyway thanks for teh welcome and here is some more carnage photos
I actually have owned several cougars/birds fox wise. An 88 sport tbird, the white cougar you saw..The black one (my first) which I still have.
The white car I had sold to a local kid..He crashed it..DIdnt weigh more hen 110lbs wet...
Yah and some more....
The guy in the middle is the one that was in the accident!!!!
Love the "Chevy Sucks My Ass" sticker. Thats my train of thought too....lol
