Well ive been distant from the forum for a bit. Life threw some twist my way again but what are you going to do? Loving the SHO, but miss wrenching on the Cougar. It sits tucked in a garage until the house is ready to rent out again, then it is back to a open side carport. That is until that house is rented or sold. This is what is keeping me from starting to tear it down, along with time.
SHO got hit last night, pics later, low speed slight impact. Paint damage only. Did not want to call the cops for our sake and theirs, would have been a waste of time and money. Couple ended up being nice about it but we were both a little mad to start. She gave me $60, saved a hassle and time along with legal issues. most sped off but it will need paint. Other than that Im just trying not to pour money into things I WANT to do to it.
Once I have a set place to keep the Cougar it will begin transformation. As to what, will be decided along the way, expensive way. I do know that it will be built for the road, will be driven where ever it is going, and still knock out some good times at the track, 1/4 or a course. Focus is chassis and brakes, power is pointless otherwise.
Dad is out of work again, good news is I have my Gramps rental house to work on as well as a house on my street. Then I have my job but hrs are going to be less due to school starting next week. Trying to figure out how to pay for that is the issue now. There is a reason for everything , and time will tell the reason for this.
Hell my buying spree of cars last year lead me to my Plus, so I do believe it.
Other thoughts are to buy a car to part. There is an 87-88 Bird that is for sale ( seen better days ), as well as a 95 SHO that is dead. Guy wants $275 for Bird, other guy wants $400 for SHO. Local guys looked at it and said they wouldnt give $200. I am going to look at both and see if it is worth the investment. Offer what I think I can spend but still profit.
Pointless update on life an wasted read. That is all.
Hell I'd sell you my 91 SHO for $100 at least thats a gen 1 and has some somewhat useable parts...
Bad bearings tho.
Nice to know you're still alive. It sucks that your SHO got hit ($60? Seems a little low for paint damage) I hope all is well otherwise. Just hang in there man!
I have the paint, and I have to paint the grill anyways since the police grill is still his.
Mine is always there if you want it ;)
