did ford/mecury honestly think completly red interiors were a good idea?I've seen a few of them at the junk yard and they are LOUD! I mean  tone it down a bit..
just my opinion though

My first cat was an 87 with an all red interior....I liked it a lot to be honest.

I bought the wife a maroon 87 bird with red interior back in about 90 or so. We loved the car for many years, but I could never get used to the interior. It was okay, but once you see the gray or dark blue, the red does seem a bit on the loud side. It can look good with the right exterior though.  Ford/Mercury wouldn't have made red if no one wanted red. Actually, my wife's '71 has a silver exterior with a red interior and we really like that car. I guess the old saying is correct, it's all in the eye of the beholder....
