Title: turn signal lever question

on the turn signal lever on my 84 cougar...when i push it into the column the horn goes off and it has a horn => picture on the end of it.  What purpose does this serve really? just curious

That's where the horns were on alot of the 83-84 Fords.....Kind of silly really.

My '80 has the same thing, you get used to it after a while. It allows you to keep both hands on the wheel while you weave through traffic honking at all the 'idiots' on the road. A safety feature really, I believe my friends '79 stang had it this way aswell.

That's how my '84 TurboCoupe is too, only my horn doesn't work  :bs:

My 84 T/c is that way also but i still have the horn on the wheel too. I some states your supposed to honk be for you pass. LETS SCARE Them then pass

Man... If i'd use a horn on my turn signal the way i punch my wheel when yelling at road dumb asses, there would be no more lever..... :giggle:
