Post by: tbirdscott on August 13, 2009, 01:03:31 AM
:burnout:

On ebay, starts @ $20, not mine. (http://"http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rear-window-Louvers-for-80-model-Thunderbird_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem2302770ddcQQitemZ150365212124QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories") looks like an 83-86 bird to me.

I was going to bid on them just so they wouldn't get hacked apart. (I already have some) If you are going to bid on them I won't, I just don't want to see them get hacked up.

Are the 86 and 87-88 rear windows different? I was under the impression they were all the same.

They look similar, but mine don't have the cross bar in the midlle. Instead they have little rubber bumpers on each one.

Louvers arrived today!
Craziest packaging, Duct Tape galore... :rollin:

Did a quick test fit and snapped a couple pics, Ill post them tomorrow.

They need paint and a lil' grinding/rounding of edges, but look aggressive installed!

OK,
Here is some pics:

First 2 are of how i received them from the UPS guy (I watched him drag the box down the driveway...)
Despite the ugly packaging, The insides were nicely padded and everything was safe. :hick:

3rd pic is a rare one, Probably the most i have ever shown of my car on here.
Test fit of spoiler and louvers (Both held on by tape).

4th Pic is a sideview of the louvers test fit (with tape, Please ignore the eyesore primer patches~They are all over the car and have been there since i got it).

Those are the pics im willing to show right now, I have rust issues and its ALL revolving around the rear window/trim area.

Anyway~
It installs by 4 metal mounting mounting tabs, They glue/sticker junk to the windshield under the trim at 4 points.
There is a push and twist screwy hinge thing for the lower 2, and the top 2 have a bolt-through.
