So I got pulled 2 nights ago for the tags being expired. Parked the car under a street light at the convience store where my girlfriend works. Did NOT want to leave the car there but I had no choice. I come back today with tags ready to drive it home and it has been towed. Call the towing company and the guy is cool enough to not charge me because I pulled in to get the car 15mins after he left with it. While we were taking it off the flatbed I notice my glove box is wide open with all my papers in the floor, console is wide open, my back seat torn out, trunk lock beat in, all my emblems are gone, and the drivers door has been pryed on. I purposly parked the car in view of a security camera and under a light. Whoever did it isnt very smart. But my tools, jack, spare tire, stereo are all gone not to mention all my emblems ripped off and the trunk beat in.
Insurance adjuster will be here tomorrow and they should cover it. With the book value being so low do you guys think they would total it? I ask because The trunk is absoloutely no good, my drivers door is messed up and there are scratches where the emblems were taken off so it may have to be painted?
Man,that sucks HARD.Start collecting parts for the repairs.I feel for you.Pics???

Sounds like a total but they should give you the option to keep the car and get less money. Sucks to here that. Get that vid and do some beating of your own. vandals!

When my Blue T-Bird got hit twice a couple of years ago,once on the driver side front,then the driver door the next week,both insurance companies paid up........so I built the Sport.
What's with the emblems and spare tire/jack?
Which car was it? Also what was in there regarding Stereo? It is always the most likely to attract attention if they don't see the cassette player in there or hear loud sound. I feel for you - I hated when I had the same problem in my driveway for NOTHING. Another car across the street had its aftermarket stereo stolen though. What draws attention to these things without a stereo? Bad clearcoat and sun damaged interiors?
Browse ebay and craigslist for your parts and buy one. Then see if there is anything you can do once you have the part with the sender's address or any other details you may get from the transaction.

Sorry to hear that man...hard to believe another person would do that because I think I'm safe to say this, Fox Tbird fans are definitely a minority as far as car fans in general go. It must be another enthusiast, but clearly one who has no respect for others property. Quite the bullshiznit. I'd definitely try what someone above suggested: search ebay and craigslist.
I know where a black sport is for $400 but I dont know if its worth taking that whole car apart. I would feel bad killing another bird.

My 87 was destroyed in a similar manner. Driver window busted, trunk lock beat in, window track fubared, radio stolen, trim holes broken off, custom rear deck mangled, rear seat ripped out and thrown outside, car left in neutral (can't believe it stayed put)...
I had comprehensive coverage thru state farm. I had every reciept down to the zip ties. They gave me $2700 for my incident. The car didn't book for that much. I don't think they "total" on comp. claims.

i got state farm too. yes they total out on comp claims thats what happen to the 88 sport after the deer ran into me. i got $3,250 for mine. and my first car got brokin into the guy was going to steal my radio,cd's poped the trunk but couldn't get the amp or speakers cause they where bolted down through the trunk plus it took me and 2 buddys to put the speaker box in the trunk. a good friend happened to be driving buy and beat the out of him then called the cops and had him arested :beatyoass::hick:. people dont care anymore no respect at all.

I have had nothing but bad luck with this car. I think its time we go our seperate ways....tags were turned in today and its got a for sale sign in the window. $1300 I wont be driving it anymore until its sold.

I have been parking my car in a rough part of town with no windows in the door and no locks in the trunk or door until two weeks ago. Still need to put that window back in.

yeah it runs. its at a car lot. way in the back of the lot. guy says it needs a MAP sensor?? He cranked it up. Needs work on the power windows and there is a dent in the drivers quarter panel
