Congrats! A most noble move that will reap rewards in more ways than one.
obviously another good service memeber in the making.
Congrads there vinnie!
Thanks a lot guys.He decided to join all on his own.It actually took me by surprise......a good surprise.
Thats cool Vinn, i didnt know you had kids!! Congrats!!
PS.... whats mama think about it???
Congrats!! :D
Congrats to Christopher!
Mama's are seldom happy about such things...
Congrats Vinnie, you've got about 3 months with your 'old' son, after that whatever they put on 'em at Parris Island never washes off. :D
She was very nervous and excited. There comes a time when he's got to make his own decisions.I was happier with the Corps than a fast food place (no offense to fast food chains,or the folks who work there).I wanted him to go where he can have a career if he chooses, and learn something. He wants to be a tank mechanic or weld.Either way,and whatever he decides (or they decide for him),I'm good with it.
HURRAA!!. He will be a man. You raised him well. Now it's his turn.
I agree Kitz, and thanks a lot for the comment,I appreciate that.
Congrats and thank him for us. While there are questions regarding the use of troops, they still protect us all at home and every person here should be grateful. I hope he does get to do what he wishes for. Either way, he will quickly grow up/change and make friends for a lifetime.
Better late then never....I just saw this thread.. LOL
Congrats, Vin.
I'll keep it simple, seeing everyone already said what I was thinking. ;)
Thanks Jeddy. He just got word that his basic traing will start in December.I told him to take advantage of this time to get in the best shape possible, learn the ranks and General orders, and anything else he can.be prepared.
Did you tell him to start running, and not stop until he leaves?
My bro in law joined the Navy and it changed him for the better. Kept him out of trouble and he learned useful knowledge. This will be good for your boy. I had always wanted to join the armed services but was unable because of heart complications earlier in life. I can always dream though. The few the proud....
Semper Fi!
the few the fine good for him Godbless you guys
i was orn and raised on military bases. i've always believed the military is a solid way to learn values and skills. I wish him success.
