Title: Did anyone here know this?
Post by: thundergrowl on April 08, 2005, 08:30:48 AM
I was just talking to the parts guy at the local ford dealer on the chance that I could get some new parts for the T'bird. He told me that if it doesn't show up on their computer he could take it further and contact a business in the states who gets all of fords old parts. I asked him if this was a business who I could contact and he said no, it was dealer only. The parts I was looking for did show up on his inventory so I didn't have to take it further.

Does anyone here know who this company is and do you have a contact to them? I'll try to find out more Monday when I pick up my parts.

I probably shouldn't tell you this, jk lol, but just because the part is no longer produced, the dealer can still see what other dealer still have some NOS in stock. I found around 15-20 marker lights about a year ago this way.

Being an Autozoner I can tell you the Everdrive Salvage program is a waist of time.  Expensive and Expensive.

yes, there is a company that does recieve MOST all fo fords obsolete parts now, this wast true 10-15 years ago, but most everything that has gone obsolete within the past, say 5 years does go there and NO, people off of the street can NOT buy from them directly, it has to be a ford dealer......

i used to work at a GM wharehouse and we had on company we sold all our our "s" or obsolete parts to and they resold to other places for classic sales. but you could not buy from them directly. and let me tell you. they made a bundle the prices GM sold stuff to them at would make you cry.

We use parts voice all of the time at work, I also found a couple of items for my bird. Just enter in the part number and it will tell you what dealer has the part, how many he has, and his contact info.
