Title: cougar mud flap rework
Post by: jcassity on July 05, 2009, 10:44:01 PM
been hand painting the mud flaps then sealed them with grout sealer.

Ill probably clean the sealer off around the cougar and logo as well as the rest of the flap , hit it with some matt black, then respray the grout sealer.

whatchyall think?

the right two were in the worse shape.  I had to heat them up and put weight on them to get the flaps to go flat.  I had to snip the edges and clean them up a little so they have nice edges.  The left two are next.

tools / paint i used are in the picture.

That looks great!

I have thought about doing this to the ones on my Cougar. They have also gotten faded out over the years. I've toyed with the idea of doing it body color (dark red) or maybe gold (my trim color).

Yours will look like brand new when you are done, I'm sure. Post up more pictures when you get them done!

I thought about doing mine, but those rust starters will never touch my car again.
