Title: mustang ac lines on the bird?

since i live in central florida i'm think i'm going to run ac in the bird. do the mustang 5.0 (87-93) ac lines fit the tbird? i have a new set of stang lines i was wanting to use on my 88 302 tc swap.

Yes, they do work but only if you have the Mustang a/c and power steering brackets on your 302. The line from the accumulator to the compressor is the same on all factory a/c 5.0 cars AFAIK. It's just the line from the compressor to the condensor that seems to differ between cars.

I don't know why Ford speced out different lines for different cars but that indeed seems to be the case. Having different a/c and power steering brackets probably has a lot to do with it (which results in different belt lengths also).

thanks Eric. i'm using mustang brackets since that was what the engine was going in.

dont know what the difference is but both the discharge
and suction lines have different part #'s and motorcraft
#'s for the mustang and the catbird parts. cant tell what it is
for difference without 2 cars together.
