Oh oh, somebody has a new SHO!! :D

Not completely...

Went and looked it over and test drove it Saturday. Ive already seen the car many times in and out but he wanted me to look it all over and point out all the flaws. Car is amazing.

So here is the run down

1991 Taurus SHO Plus
Emerald Green on Mocha 50/50

-3.0 MTX stock
-17 flywheel
-Newer clutch
-60k around 30K ago
-New suspension front and rear
-'96 brakes (11.6 rears on but coming off)
-New exhaust (few weeks old)
-Kenwood 7" flip out
-12" Kenwood in custom fitted box,
-A/C
-Sunroof
-I could go on and on....

Car is everything I could want. I am really happy. Police grill, rear brakes, strut tower bars, are not mine. They will be coming off the car shortly.

So this is where the good guys winning and the kinda come in. Most everyone know Ive got screwed many a time on deal. I know what its like to be in a bad situation so I try to help when someone else seems to be in one. Ends up I get the shaft. Its my nature though. Well not this time, I am actually dealing with someone like me.

Went and looked at it Friday, he showed me EVERYTHING on this car down to things I wouldnt have noticed forever, if I ever did. Told him where I was on money, what I had coming in, and where I would be at certain points. He told me for that you can take it with you right now (couldnt drive 2 cars or I would have). So I went and picked it up the next day and here we are.

When you break it down I am driving his car, on his insurance, and I still owe almost 1/2 on it. He needed the money for his track car but still he really helped me out. Hell for what Im paying he is helping me out let alone letting me take it before I can pay for it all.

That is a good guy. They  wondered why I still came to meets after I sold my 92. Its hard to find a group of car guys that arent total asses and are truly good people around here. That is why I stuck around. Guess it paid off huh?

Ill get some more pics soon. It wont be cleaned up outside for a while due to construction on my street but Ill still get some.

Oh man! I thought I had read it as a 90 SHO. The Emerald SHO Plus is VERY VERY VERY rare. Basically the rarest of the rare, if I were you I'd climb under it if you get a chance and see if it is a early 91 or a late 91 (Late 91 has a rod shifter, early has a cable shifter). Another way is to check out the radio panel, if it has a little cubby hole its usually an early one but there is no guarantee. The Gen 1 is by far my favorite gen SHO and yours is the exact car I have wanted to find for a looooooooooong time. I did wonder if it had the 32 Valve badges on the fenders bc in the picture its hard to tell. If not they are definitely missing, there should be metal badges like the Gen 2's had.

Thing is MINT dude. Wow. And you can give a fox mustang a hard time. You can give my car a very hard time.   Congratulations. Absolutely agree with the title. Makes it worth waiting through the hard times and failures when stuff works out like that....

Orginal cable, rod now. Badges there, Gen II should be plastic in most cases IIRC. Rares of rare Plus is Frost/Mocha an then there are the 95 White MTX cars. List goes on. Car is amazing, ive been driving it every chance I get.

Thank you! I love this car.

I got to the point with the Cougar that I really wasnt worried about little things happening to it due to the appearance of it. Now I am back to the way I was when I first got my Cougar, scared of everything.

This is sorta off topic, but have you ever seen Conan Obrian do skits about his car? He always uses a green sho.

Here's an example:

Okay, why is this thing so rare? oh, and plus what?

There were two SHOs in 91, a normal SHO and a SHO+ package (Spoiler, blacked out trim and mirrors, spoiler, 32 Valve badges, Fiberglass power bulge hood, color matched Taurus badges). The 91+ package is the one to have.

http://www.sgistry.com/SHO%20History/shoplus.html

Total 91 SHO's = 8916

Total SHO Plus models of all colors = 2595

1 of 900 in Green, 1 of ??? left

In reality I have the most common Plus color BUT it was only offered on the Plus, from what can be proven...

"Rare" might be an overstatement but it isnt common by any means. That is not as important to me as having another SHO, a nice one, and being able to enjoy it.

Yeah saw that over on the SHO forum. Funny, especially the sunroof button cover breaking (common problem) even though that usually isnt what breaks on them.
