They have stock non-TC fiberglass hoods and 4" cowl hoods.
Fairly cheap too.

they bolt to the hinges but you have to use pins on the front

I have actually made some "pin on" hoods work with a hinge.

Did this on a Mustang.

I took the hinges and drilled a hole just big enough for the threaded rod to fit through, put a nut/washer on each side of the hinge, put it through the hood and get the pin pretty tight but not too tight to were you would break the fiberglass, and then use your normal pins in the front. Looks like a pin on hood but you still have your hinges. Works pretty good if you cant afford a $600 bolt on hood with a nice latch.

I dont know how well it would work with a t-bird hinge though. They are pretty stout.

Seems like the angles on the cowl are very sharp, but you sure can't beat that price...
USbody's offering: 83-87 Dominator 3" hood TTBH-83 $ 689
Champion hoods out of ohio: 83-88 3" Cowl Hood $270 (US) Liftoff available for $170 non-refundable
Crites Restoration: 1983-88 T-Bird & Cougar fiberglass hood, our ram air style - $350

Ah, I see, it looks odd to me because the 4" Harwood scoop I bought has the ridge down the center, and it kind of breaks up the smoothness of the top.

That's a great price!
Would be cool if he offered a 2" or 3" also.

Greg (5.8fastcat), tell him he needs to go bigger and give you his hood now.

I like the Dominator hood. Very nice with the finished underside. The other companies don't offer that.

What brand of hood is that? I am looking for something just like that for my 84' Bird (bracket car) I am looking at the TC with the white hood up a few threads. Love that look and did you see any improvements with it other than weight?

You might want to check with Greg on what he's doing with his "old" hood.  He sent me a pic of the new one a litte bit ago.  Looks the same but in carbon fiber (6.5 lbs)!

It would probably need to be painted though...

Hey Greg, shouldn't you update your signature?  Seems like a 10.28 is pretty old news!
