Title: 351w swap exhaust question
Post by: kbrock on June 21, 2009, 09:56:18 AM
What exhaust systems are you 351 swap guys running. I have a set of short headers on my 351 swap in a 87 tc. I would love to run long tube headers and 2.5 dual exhaust with an x pipe. I read on cool cats website that a mustang exhaust system will work. If this is true and you guys have tried it summit has a good deal on a 2.5 inch x pipe kit for mustangs. I would love to see some pics custom exhaust or store bought.

All you need is 351 specific headers; the rest of your exhaust should be fine. I’m not running a 351 but did look into it.

Currently running BBK 351 swap shorty headers, Mac 2.5" off-road H-pipe to a pair of glasspacks and that's it.

What size primaries are those?  I'm quite limited with my 1 5/8" BBK shorties, but again, budget limited.  I also still have to worry about getting more air in before more out.

Good luck,
Don

How agressive is your H/C/I on that thing?  $900 seems like a lot for pretty headers that will run out of steam soon.

Heads, Cam, Intake?

That's why I don't build "pretty"...it's too stinkin' expensive for me...lol.

Good luck,
Don
