I have rollers with guide plates. The Stock sticks are the right length (6.25).
Do I need to order Hardened push rods or are the stock ones hardened? I am wondering why they Jegs doesn't advertise them as "hardened"
eg lunati site lists these as hardened:

Stock and stock replacement are not hardened - these start around $70 and higher. I believe Trick Flow has the cheapest hardened pushrods in many different lengths.
The Trick Flow pieces are very nice -- one piece machined units. Good bang for the buck as stated as well. A full set should run you around $85
The Ford racing set that Summit sells is listed as "heat treated" and according to the blurb about them.

I'd call the Ford tech line or Summit before ordering those. The price seems too good....
I used them on my old 306/edelbrock motor. Price was ~$50 at the local speed shop
Do they mean hardened by using the term heat treated? I know hardening INVOLVES heat treatment, but it seems like that word is being avoided in the ad...
So does anyone know where I can order a set of 6.25" Hardened pushrods? The 6.27 would probably work too.
Here is what Lunati says about theirs. They list "For use with guideplates: Yes" thus why I am thinking about ordering them.

Same type that came with my Trick Flow top end kit -- albeit in a different length. Those WILL work with guideplates. They're the same ones we speak of earlier ;)
The Ford racing M-6565-L302 is hardened and should be fine with a guide plate... I've been using the longer "L312" in my 5.0 with the TF heads, been fine for almost 10 years... They'll go into the 331 when it's built...
Jeg's has them for 37.99, Summit no doubt has them as well...

Thanks. I think I know what to get now.
