Title: seat covering
Post by: daminc on June 06, 2009, 09:07:59 AM
I'm currently looking for a drivers seat cover to replace the one in the vert.
red is what I'm shooting for, but I'm open to another color that might be able to be dyed to match.
here's the seat

Let me know if there's anything out there, I'm located in the depths of a frozen hell. I mean Buffalo, NY 14072

OK, I believe the Pass side seat will work on the drivers side. and if the back is good too, I'll find a way to make that work. (seeing that the lever is on the back)

I do have a pass side in gray, but I would have to match the color, which may be tough.

the driver/ pass sides match except for that very one thing which would be the latch as well as the opposside wear by way of the seatbelts.

I am dealing with a way to fix the square opening for the latch on my 20th by using the best off my covers which happens to be the pass side.

When you get the cover off, the flap will reside in the hole where they cut three sides of a rectangle out to make the latch available.

simply foldingthe fabric back out to close the opening is an option but the edges would have to be groomed with a little touch up paint.  I plan to use gorilla tap on the inside of the seat back in order to hold the flap in place and close the opening then touch up paint the seam in multiple layers of paint acting as filler as well.

I believe a custom map pocket on the back will solve my problem if I go that route.
