I've long antited this. It's the reason I stepped up to a PS3 to begin with and they've had me waiting FOREVER!!!
Note that vehicles can apparently incur damage now. :burnout:

I think Forza Motorsport 3 is going to be the racing game to have yet again. Realistic damage, drivetrain/engine swaps, drifting, drag racing, circuit racing, point to point, customizable paintjobs. Not to mention I think the Xbox 360 games end up with better graphics and playability somehow. October 09 :D
GT5 ever get a release date yet?
I think that Forza will again reign king because of the aforementioned points of interest and the fact that in the time it has taken Polyphonic Digital to make GT5 2 or 3 Forza games have been released( I cant remember when they announced GT5). I have seen the game play trailers and they look just as good as GT5. I have a feeling/kinda hope it gets pushed back from October to a later date just to make sure the bugs are out of the game (I am a big stickler on bugs since i own 2 Bethesda games and they hardly bug test it seems).

Even if they leave it at October I am positive you'll be getting updates over Xbox Live weekly :Rollin:
I am certainly hoping for more than 4 or 5 car packs for Forza 3.
Red Ring of Death....
I've never had a problem with my newer Xbox. I bought an older model that had the RROD to play around with. I fixed it without spending a penny. It works for a few months then RRODs again. Apply the "fix" again (ok it's not really a fix since it's temporary in my case) and it's up and running... next time I am gonna use some new heatsink compound.
The first batch of next gen consoles almost always have issues. Suckers! My PS2 had the dreaded "Disc Read Error". Ugh! Don't think I had a problem with my PS1 though. :)
Everyone I know local to me with the newer 360 has had the RROD.
I've experienced the dreaded overheat with a PS2...
Am I the only one who doesn't have problems with systems? The biggest problem I have is my N64 locks up. Yes...I still play it...along with my NES.
I play my NES more than my PS3.
gamers,,,
no wonder the rest of the world gets our jobs:rollin:
When you're ready to step into the present, we're waiting for you.

Besides, the entire industrialized world is full of people who play video games.
Yeah it was the best thing that ever happened to my 360 pro, i went back to best buy paid 50 bucks and got an elite, i would say i made out like a goded bandit.
Ive always stuck to the PS consoles....ive never had an issiue with my ps1, ps2,ps3, or the psp.........
BTW>>>>>PSN TAG_______BigBlockCougar........Add me up fellas!!!!
I only play gta4, and dirt......not really into spending $60 for a game when if i wait a month i can get it for $20 idk.....
Im pretty sure this is one point both PS3 fans and Xbox360 fans can agree on.
[Edit]
Well i found out why the forza motor sport website was down.
Forza Motorsport community (http://"http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/game/default.htm")
Hey 20th, I saw you were playing Forza 2 today and was gonna throw you an invite but my buddy was begging me to play COD: WAW so I wasn't able to. I'll get ya sometime :D.
V8, my 360 gave me the RROD right before the warrantee took a dump and I sent it in three weeks later I got one back. Next time I'll have my bro in law fix it for free and it'll only take 15 minutes :D. Besides, my warrantee is gone anyway so I won't be sending it back anytime soon.
Yeah i was , i need to get a new mic lost my old one.
Mine tends to walk away from time to time. Funny how they do that huh?
PS3 still costs too much.
Hi I'm Bob and I'm a gamer.. lol
I saw this a few days ago. I've informed the wife that the time has finally come for me to get a PS3.... in October.
I'll stick to my Xbox 360. Forza 3 will make me happy as all get out. Gran Turismo really was a let down after GT3.
I need to get a PS3. My PS2 is still hangin on though after a few surgeries. I drilled a hole in the top of case all the way through to the adjuster screw for the lens so now i dont have to take it all apart to adjust it when I get the disc read error. I coveres the hole with electrical tape...like it never happened :-)
Seriously? GT4 was a disappointment to you? The only thing that bothered me was not being able to use 'Specialty Vehicles' like the Caterham Lotus Seven in career challenges.
Yes, I agree. It was a slightly less disappointment but Forza's customization really sells it for me. I don't mind Gran Turismo and all but I still feel Forza has a much better execution of the racing genre. Just curious does PS3 get downloadable content?
Yep. A good number of the cars, tracks, and videos for GT5 Prologue are downloads.
I guess time will tell which one is worth having but I'll be buying Forza 3 for sure ;)
i know what i said was pretty blunt, but atleast theres no mystery on my opinions.
The truth be told, I see people struggle to make change at a cash register or come to the work force with little basic skills. On the flip side, thier gaming skills are top knotch. I know im a minority on this topic although i do game myself but you can count on both hands how many times a year i do so.
the boys game a lot, i warn them that its not healthy to sit there so long, they get fat, their heart rate doesnt get pushed the same way general work around the house does, there arent many life skills to be learned from it and basically any game out there is just polluted with bad ethics.
oh well, in the end im right on this kind of stuff most of the time. it just takes the rest of the world some time to catch up with my forward thinking,,,,:D Naw,,jk.
In a nutshell, people game too too much. its not healthy or productive.
The game world really hasnt been in full swing that long although i remember writting programs for games back in highschool (grad 86). At best, there isnt any huge substantial data on the long term effects on gaming, just warnings.
I think its commons sense, you sit on your ass all day and you'll pay later.
I'm waiting for MAG myself... I hope sony doesn't f it up. Right now I'm still enjoying playing warhawk. I'm going to buy my daughter "eye pet" when it comes out the end of the year. Heres a video of it from E3http:// http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZQpqfzDgOk
Once the price drop comes for the PS3 i think i will buy one, although it will probably end up like my Psp (Collecting dust and not being used). I have heard rumors that L.A. Noire is coming to the 360 and that was my main reason to buy the PS3.
man you missed a nice price last December. My co-worker got one from Dell.com for $170 using a Dell coupon and Sony rebate for using Sony credit card.. plus 12 month 0% LOL.. Sony runs that $150 rebate on first card purchase alot look for it... easy way to get it cheap
Honestly I probably game to much sometimes but I still get out and get excersize. I still DO things. Gaming is my escape, my way to blow off some steam. I enjoy it and the people I play on Xbox Live with. Just gaming with buddies is fun you know?
Hmm.
Taking the first two quotes into consideration one might surmise that you include yourself and some of your family members as some of the "people" you speak of in the third quote.
No matter what the topic or activity -- there are people who will overindulge/abuse. Some people diet too much. They're known as anorexics...
If you believe my approximately 5 hours a month or so that I might find the time to use my PS3 for game use excessive......and I'm sure I'm not the only one that uses one in a limited fashion due to the fact that they have other priorities and interests. I personally know Ivy league graduates that hold down successful careers that game a HELL of a lot more than I do. They seem to be doing fine. Gaming isn't the problem. Just like heavy metal isn't the problem every time a defense attorney tries to blame it in order to get a defendant acquitted.
The problem is poor judgment, ignorance, and overall laziness. To not take responsibility for your own predicament - within reason of course - is much more to blame than something one can choose to use or not use.
