No you're not....no 87 Turbo Cougars unless it was a swap......

You didn't give us enough info either to help decide if it's a good deal or not.

If it's complete, fair body, runs ok, then yeah $900 is probably good, but it's not a turbo Cougar from the factory.

I don't think there is any such thing. Check out coolcats.net (http://"http://www.coolcats.net"). The anwsers to your questions should be there.

Either that or the seller doesn't know the difference between an '86 and an '87.

If it turns out to be an 86, maybe it was a misprint. Have you talked to this guy or seen the car yet?

Or maybe "Turbo Cougar" is "Turbo Coupe"?

Okay, who else has an "or maybe..." that hasn't been suggested?

Other than the turbo models, no Tbird or Coug ever got a 4cyl from the factory..

Or maybe they put a 87-88 front clip on an 83-86 XR7. That would confuse lots of people who don't know these cars.

I'm sure it's probably just an '86.  People (the seller of the car, in this instance) can never get the years right on these cars.

Tommy Tommy Tommy...did you forget about the 1981-82 Granada-based Cougars? They had the 2.3L standard: http://blizzard.he.net/~foxbody/granadacat.html

NO NO Say it ain't so.....

Actually I was thinking they may have had the 2.3 available, even though I've never actually seen a NA 2.3 in any Fox other than the Stangs and Fairmonts..
