Title: torn energy suspention motor mount
Post by: TrickFlow347 on October 27, 2004, 04:39:02 PM
Okay, so today we fixed some vacum leaks we found and replaced a sensor that was the wrong one for our computer. Well when we started it up she was running like a moody bitch :asshole:  then it stalled   It started back up and ran just fine and smooth after but we noticed a tear in the drivers side mount :(  So my question is... is the outside rubber on the mount.. ummm importent or is it just a cover :dunno:

:giggle: Yea, I think is got around 20-25 miles TOPS!  I hope its okay, I want to take it out tonight. The warenty for the mounts would be past date, I bought most of the things for the car so long ago that by the time they got to the car the 2 year warentys were expired

does the tear go all the way threw to the other side? i dont think it realy matters that much, because its just a coushion(still incased in metal). the only problem i can see is if a chunk were to come out of the mount and less coushion be their. i'd leave it

I dont think its all the way through. Im getting one of thoes things to go from the engine to the swaybar mount just incase.  I dont think it should have torn the mount already and we havent even gotten on her yet!
