Now that its warm out, when I park my car outside the side trim is pulling loose from the car at the very front of the drivers door (my bodyman had a hard time getting the trim back on this winter). Of course this is the worse possible place for this to happen because it gets into the fender when the door is opened :punchballs:.
I bought some 3m double sided sticky trim adhesive and it doesn't do the job. Anyone have any suggestions for something to use on this? (and don't say silicoln lol).
3M tape. There are different grades of the stuff.I used it on my side trim on the blue car,and it held tight.I bought it at the paint and body supply store here in town.Make sure both surfaces are really clean and free of wax and chemicals.
I agree with Vinny. Go to O'reilly and get the premium 3M mounting tape. The cheap stuff is a double stick tape with a foam core. The "premium" is like super sticky stretchy rubber. The premium tape is grey in color while the cheaper stuff is white and lightweight.
Ok I may have to buy the "premium" stuff. the 3m tape I have is grey. Thanks guys.
