Quote
Up to 90mpg. hwy. Modified to run on either gasoline, or gasoline and up to 1% acetone mix. 90mpg. hwy. at 1% mix. EPA factory rating is 22mpg. hwy. Modification can be undone in 30 minutes, with single socket size. Is a simple modification, but with great time spent on research and testing to ensure high mpg and clean emissions both. Up to 1800 mile range on 20 gallon tank on hwy. Will verify mpg. claims for serious buyers. Is rated at 12.76 seconds for quarter mile, 108mph, FACTORY. Will verify for serious buyers. This is the TEST CAR used to develop acetone additive technology, over a period of a year. At 90mpg. hwy, is DOUBLE the mpg of the 45mpg of the Prius Hybrid. BUT with the power of a 5.0L V8. This is a very hot/fast car. Highest mpg. V8 in world. [that I know of] Imagine driving across the US on just 2 tanks of gas!

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM yea i too call LARGE bs.
Why would anyone in their right mind sell a car that got 90mi per gallon and ran 12.76 in the 1/4mi(more like 1/8th mile)????????????????????

BRO IT COSTS NO MONEY TO GET AMAZING MILEAGE WITH A FACTORY CAR FROM THE 80's.  MANUFACTURERS DONT HAVE ENGINEERS AND DEVELOPERS WORKING 24/7 TO FIGURE THIS SORT OF THING OUT OR ANYTHING, LOLOLOL.

What an idiot.

I do't believe the mans claim, but I do think we have the technology. I think its just already been bought up by the oil companies to hide it.

The reason I say this is my father has a 66 lincoln continental convert. Right after he bought it we were talking to a guy at a local car show who worked at Ford.  He brough in a memorandum of some sort from Ford about a guy they fired. The guy, at worked had developed a carb for the 460/462 that back then, would get almost 45 mpg. The guy was fired because on of the big oil companies bought it from him for a lot of money (back then) and Ford thought it should have been thier invention.

You can't tell me we don't have the technology to get a lot more than that today, but the oil companies aren't doing everything possible to keep it under wraps.

both snopes.com and mythbusters say acetone lowers gas mileage

*edit*

sorry I thought you said you do believe this man's claim. :)

This Big Oil Bought The Rights To The High Mileage Carburetor is BULL shiznit, plain and simple...

You people really gullible enough to think that with the shortages of the 70s and spiraling gas prices over the years, that something like that could remain hidden??? Hell if it were really so GM, Ford, big oil or who ever has this so called technology, could make a shiznit load of money just through the licensing alone...

The guy with the Tbird is so shagin' stupid, he should qualify himself for the Darwin Award...

I'll see if the mechanic at my work will go down and call the guy dumbass. He has alot of family with the 208 area code with there phones. He's also a ford guy and a deisel mechanic, so it could be pretty cool.

I believe that they could get a car to get alot better gas mileage overall. I think it is a conscious desicion to make them get bad mileage. I find it funny that the cheapest cars with the least amount of thought put into them, get the best MPG.

Just make sure there's no plastics in the fuel system.  Acetone and plastic don't like each other much.  Don't spill it on your fresh paint either.

I know another junk science guy that says it lowers emissions as well.:D

It's just simple physics....you need X amount of energy to move a bigass chunk of metal down the road Y distance etc etc etc. There's no getting around that. Ive always laughed at the old claims of 100 mpg carburetors as well....as if there's any other way you can meter fuel with a carb that the engine will suddenly need far less sprayed in there. :rollin:

+1

Really I don't know how many times I've heard the story about so and so who had a carb in the 60's that made a 455 Olds 88 get 50 mpg. You find the carb and show it to me if the  thing exists. Oh you can't? Because IT DOES NOT EXIST!

Same one with the guy that figured he could polish his intake and heads by running his intake into a bag of sand on his turbo Audi or something.

Search is on

I think what he's not saying is that he lives on top of a mountain, and that the 90mpg figure is only for the downhill run.  Average in the uphill, and it's closer to 10mpg.
