OK, the sun came out, and I washed the car. It was its first bath in nearly two years (having spent most of that time in the garage). Here's the clean pics I promised. While washing I noticed I got my first door ding, on the passenger door. You can see it below the mirror in the first pic, right on the crease  Thankfully it will be covered when the trim goes back on

You'll have to forgive the hazy spot on this photo, the camera lens had a smudge on it:

Man that bird cleans up good!
yeah looks good.... guess that proves that you should keep the trim on if you actually drive your car or use it...
Purdy :D
You need to clean your wheel wells ;)
Great looking car.You can get a personalized tag that says "FRIDGE".
Absolutely. Either that or park it at the deepest darkest remotest end of the parking lot and put felt ropes around it. I think the car looks nekkid without the trim anyway :D
More accurately, I need to paint 'em. A few years ago I drove on some wet highway paint (while avoiding potholes... yes, they were painting a potholed road) and covered the inside of the wheel wells on the right side with white flecks and the driver's side with yellow flecks. The mud flaps that used to be on the car thankfully prevented the paint from getting anywhere else. There's also the overspray in the rear wheel wells from when I painted it. I've been thinking of doing them with rhino liner or something like that...
If vanity plates weren't so expensive ($160 initially, PLUS the $190 standard plate fee, PLUS an $80/year "maintenance" fee, PLUS the $190/every two years standard plate fees) I'd have 'em on this thing. We're only allowed seven characters, so I'd likely get "JUS4KIX" or "UP2TRIX", two user names I used to use online years ago
WOW !!!! That's a lot of money for plates.$24.00 here, plus the $24.00 my plate already costs.
So then people can pick which car to break into easier:hick: My trim never helped. I think 87-88s look off without the trim though. Not sure why. It does look really nice all cleaned up.
Looks good man but it desperatley needs a set of nice 17 or 18s.
Possibly deep dish 4lug cobra r's with the center stars painted white, now that would look sick.
WITENYT on the 'Monte cost me 35 bucks shipped and everything :|
Bird will prolly be THNDRTRD
Since it's not you DD just hit the wheel wells with some black spray paint. That's what I did and it's held up fine for 7 years ;)
X2. I power wash mine out, then either respray them with spray paint or spray some BlackMajic Tire Wet in them when I do my tires. Have been straying away from tire wet lately though. Its a lot of extra work in the long run and makes my paint look like shiznit. Its bad when tires look better than paint.
I usually spray my tank and frame rail too. Dirty, dull undercoating is really ugly
Are you going to get some pinstriping for it?
Looks awfully plain, I think it needs a pinstripe or two.
I think with the two tone and the trim it will change the palin look quick
Wow he's doing two-tone? What like grey on the bottom? I cant seem to remember anything :hick:. But that would definitely make it more intresting, that's for sure. I do have to say that last pic I really like for some reason.
Nope, not gonna do any pinstriping. I'd never get it on straight and could never bring myself to pay somebody to do work on my car :hick:
It does look plain, doesn't it? See my response below
Yep;)
Yes, I'm doing two-tone. Silver or gunmetal from the trim down (including the trim itself). I will be doing the strip in the trim (that was formerly chrome) in red.
Ohhhhhhhh RIGHT now I remember those computer drawings you posted here haha. Yeah thats gonna be shagxxxy
Pinstripes are easy, just use the tape method.
Looks good , want to come over and detail my t-bird?
