1994 XJS 6.0L V12 772 total produced over three model years including both LHD & RHD.
I also picked up another Cougar 18 months ago but that one will come out at next Cat Jam.
I always wanted to play with one of these.
This just solidifies your position as a straight pimp, Karl. ;)
Jesus Christ Karl, Limos and jags, what are you doing starting your own Mafia?
Is there some kind of "business" we dont know about? Maybe a "family" business?
Could you grab a pic with the door open? Looks like you car swing in and out real easy like the old cars. Motor pics?
I like it a lot. First time Ive ever seen one.
Nice Jag. I've always liked Jags. they have some sort of appeal to me.
So how many cars do you own now? 30? ;) You need a storage building.
Nice Jag. I've always liked the looks of the XJS, but I've also always been leery of pre-Ford Jaguars. I've thought about buying one and dropping a 5.0 in, but never gave it any serious thought...
Thanks everyone. I love it. Mainstream can't believe I like this car better than the Z but I've never been mainstream.
9 (10 now as of Dec 09...11 now as of April 10)
Actually, these have some Ford influence. The '94-'96 were the last of the XJS and the last revisions were made to this group and Ford had been around for several years by the time they released the facelifted 6.0L V12 cars.
sweet cars!
I didn't get around to snapping an engine picture yet (always traveling) but it is currently going through some performance upgrades and cosmetic repairs and upgrades (like that carpet - material flaw) and when I get it back in a few months, I will take a picture of the engine for you. It will still look stock but will have a little more power and growl to the V12.
So....wasnt any CatJam last summer and there won't be one this sumemr either so post pics of the new cat!!!!!! :D:beatyoass:
Nice Jag. I like the V12s...but I would never own one. I think if I looked at it funny it would know it and never run again.
I've got a 2000 XK8 as you can see in my sig.
Nice to see another XJS. I've got an 88 XJ-SC
I did a bit of reading before I bought this car and found that the later V12s are fine. I've seen other Jaguar sedans with the same V12 with 150K miles or more. The last few years of the "facelifted" XJS cats had all the refinements that improved on earlier problems.
I didn't settle on the first XJS I looked at either. I looked for quite some time and had certain criteria, to include overall condition, that made the search last a while.
Duuuude, you got like 8 more cylindaz than me!!!
So I'm a bit late responding to this, but I see we have a few Jags on this site. I'd like to invite the Jag owners over to the Jaguar Forums (http://"http://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/") I'm K.Westra on there.
Thanks for the link. xjeffs made me aware of xjslovers so sooner or later, I will get in the habit of visiting these two sites.
My car is still going through upgrades and detail work. I should see it in May.
Love the 6.0L option. My 5.3L and TH350 leak all over the place. So much so I'm thinking I might go LS2 T56 when the Cougar's done. Don't know if the wife will buy into another big ticket purchase though.
I think drivenman sells the 'kits' for that. Are you thinking about doing the work yourself or having it done?
Mine's got the later GM 4L80E with a 4th gear overdrive, seems to be ok. The shop fixed one or two small fluid leaks I had but they weren't significant and weren't much to fix so I don't even remember what was leaking or done to fix it.
The car should be done soon I hope. I'll post some pictures when it gets shipped back to my house hopefully in a few weeks.
A little late but here you go:
..
I'd do it myself. I couldn't handle the results of someone else's work because no one will love her like I will.
I found a guy who did the LS2 and T56 swap in his Gen I XJS, so it is well documented.
I really like the engine in yours. Looks so much cleaner than mine.
