Title: My distractions
Post by: 4bangen on May 10, 2009, 04:57:33 PM
Once upon a time I had too many projects:
88 tc
87 tc
72 MGB
72 Buick Rivi
96 volvo turbo
91 mustang
and the daily driven 91 Aerostar van.

I never got any work done, becouse there was just to much to do. Then I got divorced, moved in to an apartment and had to thin the herd. I kept only two. My 88tc, and the 72 buick, They where my favs.

I swore I'd keep my numbers low so I could actualy make progress on what I had.  And I did, The t-bird has had a lot of time and money thrown its way. Then came my new girlfriend, and her little girl. By far my favorite distractions, but with them came my least fav. Her rusty Chicago raised 93 toyota camry. Seemed as though all my time went in to fixing that tin can.  So I desided if I'm going to fix a car for her, It will be one I like, hence came the 89 mark7.  Love that big gray gas hog!!! And so does she. So a lot of my time went to it. and most of our money, infact its getting ready for paint and body right now. Yes it will get paint before my bird:mad: But the fact that we are both exited about the car makes it worth it.

Now for my newest distraction. I have found a new love, and she only has two wheels. My girlfriend just bought me a 97 Suzuki Intruder 800. And It has consumed me.  The joy I have found in riding was unexpected, and it doesn't hut that I am no longer the only one in my group of friends with out a bike. And 45mpg rocks!!!

any way on with the pics.

oh ya, trust me I know. All but the bike, I will not ride this one forever. I want something with a bit more umpf! you know with more than a thousand CC's. Though this one will probably be hers when that happens.

I have never been much of a motorcycle guy but I always thought it'd be neat to own a little one to ride around town. At least you got her a car worth having! I always wanted a Mk VII myself.

Me neither, but a Honda Super 90 would be cool to beat around on.

4bangen, sounds like you got things turned around for the better!

Bikes are so fun its retarted. I raced a newish corvette on my dads virago 750 and creamed him when i was about 16. I get myself into trouble with that bike. And you can't go wrong with a 0-60 in the sub 4 second range with 45 mpg.
