Hey,
Spent 3 sunny hrs. today in my favorite junkyard. After all it is Earth Day so I thought my wife and I would do our part and recycle some T-Bird parts for our '84 "work in progress".
1-5/16" front sway bar with mounts - $10
11/16" rear bar - $10
Primo front seatbelts - $12
Excellent coolant resevoir - $6
Like new trunk gasket $5
Excellent rubber trunk snubbers - free (in my pocket)
2 oddball GM stereos for our '92 Buick daily driver - $15
Pretty good deal I think.
Oh.....by the way......for all of you rust belt folks......
Complete door,any year - $25
Quarter panels - $10........cut what you need
Just had too share :-)
Chris
Heh.. being in Florida, I'm *mostly* immune to jealousy over rust-free parts. :p Only two spots of rust on the '88 I bought that spent its life down here, and those are only from spots where the paint was completely lost. (one on the hood, one on the right front quarter, below that ditch light or whatever ya call it) My '86 spent half its life in Michigan, the other half down here.. and you can see it in the doors. Both need replacing someday. I should hit up our junkyards and see what's what.. but I'd rather wait and go when I have a little extra $$$.
Here in Oklahoma, rust isn't really ever a factor.Plus,Fox 'Birds and Cougars are easily available in the yards.
yea luckily no rust here in cali either
Ok, i'll go on record as being jealous. Stupid salty northern roads.
