Title: Hard brake lines?
Post by: thunderjet302 on May 02, 2009, 11:23:27 AM
Is it still possible to get pre bent brake lines for our cars? I have to replace the driver's side rear line on the axle from the pumpkin to the drum as I found it has a dent in it. It's not leaking and the brake works fine but I want to replace it to be on the safe side. Can I get the lines or am I going to have to bend my own up?

I bent my brake lines for the differential as well.Just take your time and it's really easy. The lines aren't that rigid and can easily be bent by hand.

I replaced all the lines on my car from proportioning valves to the wheels (including stainless braided hoses) with zero experience.  The only thing you might want to practice beforehand is using a flaring tool.  Also note that the holes on either side of your rubber-line T-fitting are different and you may need an adapter.
