Title: left front brake line
Post by: 1badcougar on April 27, 2009, 12:42:58 PM
I have noticed that the left front brake line does not connect to the proportioning valve. I do not understand why Ford would do such a thing. I believe this would allow full braking pressure to the left front wheel causing possible lock up in slippery conditions. I want to add line lock and re-pipe the left front to be connected after the proportioning valve. Does anyone see anything wrong with doing this? How did anyone else pipe your line lock? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Aerospace front Disc Brakes w/Vented Rotos on my '86 GT. I bought a Hurst Line Lock to work with my Aerospace Manual Brake M/C. It has several ports. I used the top port from M/C,then I used front port for the passenger front brakes. The port on the right was used for the driver's side front brakes. Also added the brake switch to the port on the left. Off the front port (rear brakes) of my M/C has a 10lbs. Residual Press. Valve for the Drum Brakes as per their instructions. I was told Not to use a Adjustable Portportion Valve for the rear drum brakes.  But I did install one that was Adjusted to All Open (no press) for future Rear Disc Install.  Pics are in my photo Bucket.  http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c244/racerxmd/?albumsview=slideshow (http://"http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c244/racerxmd/?albumsview=slideshow")
