So lets hear em guys,.... Whats your cars name and is it female?????? some of ya guys know what im talkin about...... For example,
My girl calls her car "putt Putt" and its a he......
My mom used to call my xr7 "Betsy" and its a she....
I dont have a name for her yet, so hopefully this will give me some ideas........
Never really was into that sort of thing
Don't anthropromorphize cars.
They hate that.
i call mine the 'T' or the 'bird'
not really original but your askin
my chevy van is a she and she is 'the big red van'
my ranger is a he and he is the 'range'
my corolla is a he and he is 'le char a ma blonde' lol
x2 Nothing could really fit right for me either.
I just call it mine.
Everyone knows what Im talking about. Had my car longer than ony of my friends have kept 1 car so its obvious what Im talking about.
Even when I had another car they were called what they were (SHO or the truck) not
my car.
it depends on the day really
normal days it's called "it"
when something breaks it's called go#d^mn b@%ch.
You can call my car ANYTHING but Layla....
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Cat is either Baby or the Cat.
Haven't names the truck yet.
As far as the Sport goes, she's very private and I'll respect that.
YES!:punchballs: If you count that there are more combinations of names than ways you can get your hashbrowns at Waffle House.
Good thing you didnt put it in the title of the build or anything... Who knows then she would start mouthing off with backfires and not start when you have to be somewhere.
, and use a $5.00 word to describe it... Whatever it is, my spell checker says it's misspelled(apparently doesn't recgonize a present tense spelling)...
The only car I have with a name is the '69 Cobra Jet Fairlane and then only because a deceased friend used to call it Big Red...
Lets see...
'86 Cougar - Cougar (original aint it lol)
'87 Bird - The Bird or Old Reliable (well was reliable until I decided to try and sell it)
'88 Ranger - Beast, Danger Ranger, Loud Thing (nieghbors came up with that lol)
'76 Pontiac Ventura - Blue Car or The Olds (has an Olds 350 in it)
'78 Grand Prix - Grand POS, POS, Heap 'o Sh**, S Metal ect ect (I absolutly despise this car incase you cant tell)
Yes my driveway is full. lol
Never really thought of "newer" rides having names. That said, I don't genderize my rides, I only give them a song that fits. IE: my 1948 Ford F1....Green Mbuttstuffishi (with the two pr0nged crown), yes it's green.
'78 F150 4x4 that I've had since driving birth: Big Orange, or Unroadworthy....people just started calling it that, I never did, since it was well known in the region.
I have a few others out back without names yet, but eventually they come to you, as opposed to you naming it. One of my old time faves was snuffulupugus (sp.?) the old elephant from Sesame Street....that would have been my Bronco that seemed indestructible. No rear window, smashed in doors, quarters, fenders, hood, etc...It was a name that just stuck, lol.
My car is F*(k!n& W#@re. I fantasize about smashing it with a hammer or dropping a vice on it from 10 feet above. I don't know why I feel this way, maybe it's because it's broken 5 times at the track (2 PS pumps, 1 alternator, 1 differential, 1 tailpipe blew off.) I sat for 2 hours on Wed. waiting for a boost from AAA so I could get the rest of the way home after my battery ran out of juice when the alternator ped out.
My car is my car same goes for my truck but my wife has named her cuv pablo and cover the dash with frogs but beside that their all fords and that's all that matters a big blue oval on em
I'm with the no name crowd. Never seemed right. I do refer to it as a she, but I do that with everything that give me nothing but ...
oh ..... well that just about does it..........:flame::nannerbang::shoothead:nkhk: :makefun: :nutkick::barf:
I'm a firm believer that if the car earns a name then it gets one. So some of mine do and some of mine don't I call my T-bird Da bird, that is the name it picked for its self before I was the owner it was handed down with the car so it has to stay, Da bird is a girl because when I talk to her girl is most normally in there some where. I can tell she seems to respond to it well. Also if I don't take her out and play with her on a regular basis she gets all temper mental an makes sure she gets my undivided attention. Women like all of them they make sure to empty your wallet yet have us all coming back for more time after time!

The Tbird is just "The Tbird" or "The Thunderturd", or inexplicably "Full Metal Chicken" (ex gf called it that...no idea where it came from).
My Monte Carlo is "The Monte". if it had to have a shag I suppose it'd be a girl, because it's sleek and classy and can move if it wants to, but always feels best taking things steady.
anthropomorphize :hick:
Apparently there's no "R" in the word....
Expanding on my previous answer:
Cougar: Black Demon
Mustang: Blue Monster
Androgynous....
Mine T-Bird will be made like a Bullitt mustang with maybe custom plates saying "dabird" after watching family guy because everyone knows the bird is the word. Its also got a banner on the front window says Thunderbird GT which means i hope to get it to 2010 mustang specs this year or next 13.4sec 1/4th mile maybe better.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WNrx2jq184 video is off family guy show is called "I Dream of Jesus"
just got the cougar running right and not lean only has 60 miles on it so a name will come later down the road.
im confused
My 99 is refered to as the 99 and the 87 is the 87, cant just simply say the cougar anymore.
Speaking of altenators, I've had my car for 2 years now and I have been through 3, yes 3 altenators. The current one, the fourth is already weak. I have bought 1 refurbished one from ford, one came from carquest, one came off my 5.0 parts car, and this one is a AC Delco remanufactured. Yes AC Delco actually does have a remanufacturing unit fo other makers.
So that would make you the second Da Bird on this site!

The 87 is Roxanne - named after the Police song. She has red lights and loose parts.
The 97 is Xena (Warrior Princess)....Let's just say I was a really big fan of that show around the time I bought her.
I haven't named my current bird.
My first one was Katie she died. I also had a Taurus that was Susan. She died too.
So I have not named this bird because she might die... However the people at my work sometimes call it the "The Brown Dragon" kinda like the name from the movie Old Skool.
I call my car 'her' when I'm talking about it, but I didn't name it. Then again, when doing my brother's concrete pad yesterday I was asking "Just dump her here?" whilst holding a wheelbarrow full of excess concrete. I don't think it's about the car having a female personality. I just call most inanimate objects 'her'.
My and my friend refer to my bird at the "thunderhawlkn'cougar bird"
the only car I have ever had with a name was my first car. I called it the black car. Just because at the time I had 3 or 4 cougars.
Yes. A square is a rectangle, but not all rectangles are squares. :hick:
