Title: Dust cover for the T5
Post by: 88FoxBird on April 16, 2009, 08:11:15 PM
Anybody know the part number for the dust cover where the clutch cable goes into the bellhousing or atleast where to get one? Buddy of mine had his fall of his mustang and is having a hell of a time finding one. Thanks.

I may have one floating around...I've never put'em back on and never had a problem.

Did you get any "unwanted noise" without one. His makes some noise now since it fell off, think there may be more wrong with it?

I never run them when I do a swap and have yet to have any noise issues because of it....

I haven't noticed any unfavorable noises without it...although my severely abused clutch chatters a good bit sometimes.

Think it might be a throwout bearing making the noise? He told me if he pushes on the clutch pedal a little it will quit making noise.

Yeah, that sounds like a throwout bearing.

X2 on that, I garauntee that is the issue....  not the cover being off...
