Title: one-touch windows?
Post by: t3skidoo on April 03, 2009, 07:28:19 PM
There's one thing I'd like from a new car, one-touch window switches.  Any idea how to wire one?

Install this

You dont need an alarm for this-real simple to hook up. Just make sure your windows go up/down nice and easy-if not the modules will detect resistance(thinking it's a hand or something) and stop.

I find this feature to be a pain.  most of the time i just want to crack the window and i have to take extra motions to stop the one touch.

Thanks for the link.  For me, the windows are all the way up or all the way down (the only smokin' is goin' on at the back end of the car).

This feature is only useful (IMO) is it has that extra "click" for the one touch to engage. Anything other than that is taking a step backward. That's not to say you couldn't fairly easily modify the center console to use another vehicle's window controls though...

from what I get over at TCCOA you can get the relays needed out of newer fords at the salvage yard.

ipsd,

I don't suppose you have a link?  No luck finding it over there, maybe because I'm not a member?
