Title: a.c compressor for 2.3L turbo

turbo coupe/xr-7 nos a.c. compressor-part# e3dz-19703-b-for 1983-88 2.3l-on ebay.anybody have any info,insight ,$129. is this a good buy or is this a gamble? p.s. need compressor!

can the 1983-88 hr980 compressor for 2.3l  hold the new retrofit freon,or just the old style r-12. getting a two sided story.anybody know for sure?for a 1986 xr-7 2-3l turbo.also the compressor will fit turbo coupe,mustangs models with 2.3l.

If it's truly N.O.S., then yes it's a good deal.  They are out of production, and have been for a while, from what I understand.  There's a write up on TurboTbird on converting the system to the new freon.  Give it a read, it's in the tech articles section.

I did it just make sure you get all the old mineral oil out of everything before you start and might as well replace all those O-rings to the R134 spec pieces.
