I've missed the '80 XR-7 since I sold it to a buddy of mine.
Visions of a dream unfulfilled and all that lot.
Now the past week, an 80-82 Tbird has appeared in the neighborhood here by work. A little rough around the edges, but I'm certain if I were to walk up with cash, it would be mine.
It's black with what looks to be a red interior (which would match the red vinyl 1/2 roof).
Must...resist...do..not...need...4th...car....
I miss my Box Fox :(
I have 5.:hick:
And we really only need 2.
Well it's me....and well, me....
If I had better storage (as in on my property and free) I'd pick up another car, but as it is I don't have the room. I'm not wanting to pay for storage any more. That's money better spent elsewhere.
Yea, storage would limit me to. I also miss by 78 boxy Monarch.
But I would never be able to find one of those ever again. I always search but they're never there....
Okay Chuck, you've convinced me. You can keep a car in the other half of my shop. Just make sure you leave the keys  .
Just buy it, you probably won't see one for sale again in a long time. I've haven't seen a single 80-82 Cougar for sale around here, and I've been looking for 2 years. :hick:
black with red..........sounds pretty nice combo............ get it.
If you want it that bad you will find a way! Only you know if you want it.
I'm going to have to go with Oscar (http://"http://www.notable-quotes.com/t/temptation_quotes.html") on this one
4????? what other cars do you have???? maybe the guy will trade and you wont even have to buy it!!!!! that is if you happen to have some little dd sittin around.......
Chuck..........must .........buy............80.............bird..............again................to ..............have,.............nice...........collection............. (wow... that was a bit confusing...lol)
The Scorpio and the Volvo Turbo, and neither are going anywhere...
I had a buddy that had a Scorpio once, it was a truely fun car to drive.
Mine is better...
A real suspension and 12" Vette brakes on all 4 corners...
The manual trans is next.
Drive it like you stole it!!!! :burnout: :hick:
I've got about a dozen laying around.
I've seen some of the pics, I have to say all of the things you do to your cars amazes me.
George Clinton:
Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the [strike]cat[/strike] bird!
Well, I think the urge has passed and I was able to resist this time around.
I guess the fact that I'm too figgen busy for a 4th project car was a big factor here...
Chuck I can't even handle two projects
I know a guy who's selling a really nice '80 T-bird. It's been for sale for 3 years now......because he wants $10K for it :hick:
Too big n' heavy if you ask me. Later 80's are better.
Do you know jack shiznit about Tbirds? or anything?
1980 year tbirds are LIGHTER than probably any other year before or since...:D
So yours is worth what... 15-20k?
According to him I bet so ;) I wish it was :hick:
