Let me know what you think.
Awesome car man, Love the color.
Thanks, they call it Red Fire. It's actually the color I was wanting, not to often you can get exactly what you want when you buy used. For once I did, and I got a great deal as well.
I've always liked them, since I first saw one. I've seen them also in a blue color similar to the metallic shine of yours. effin' awesome
The Charcoal Metallic paint on those is amazing. If I could decided on a two tone that would be my other color.
Car looks good. Not a fan of red but I do like that color. Fits the car.
I'd love to paint my Bird that colour. Nice rig, man.
Thanks guys. I'll tell you what, when you smash the go pedal down you better be holding on, 221hp at the front tires. It takes off pretty good, I just wish it shifted a little harder.
My parents bought one as well, theirs is a new 09 and I think it's the sport, it's the same color as mine but it has the black chrome grill and matching wheels, talk about sharp. Plus they got leather interrior. It's really nice. Also a buddy of mine has a black one set up like my parent's it looks good in black as well.
Maybe your parents need a swap to chrome "upgrade". He He
I prefer Black Chrome over regular Chrome, myself.
Nice car. I have always been a fan of the Fusions. I don't think Ford gets enough credit for that or the Focus.
Believe me a Fusion Sport and a Focus SES with the Audiophile stereo. OMG the perfect DD cars for me!
Mine has a good sounding stereo but it's not the sinc. My parent's has it, it's cool how it talks to you. My sister and brother-in-law just bought a new Edge, it's that new copper color, it's sweet, loaded up too, they have the sinc stereo, that thing booms!!
Funny you say that. Heard back when they first came out that people thought something was wrong because of the shifting. They didnt feel it. I doubt it was that smooth though
The six speed auto feels odd because it shifts so much.
You can defenately feel it shift, it's just not firm at all. You'd think with the power they put into it they'd shift alot harder. Plus I noticed when you jump on it it kinda pauses then takes off like a bat out of hell. It's almost like you're winding up a rubber band. My parent's is the same way, so I know nothing is wrong with it. I remember their 89 Taurus was the same way. One thing for sure, if the tranny ever goes it's getting a shift kit! I got one in my T-Bird and I really like the way it shifts.
:mullet: They make shift kits for Fusions now? :mullet:
Don't know but by the time it goes hopefully they will. I'm hoping it'll be a long time from now.
That is what I meant, maybe his parents need the chrome from his car and he gets the black chrome. Sneeky like.
I only have one word for that car, "VERYCOOL"!!
I'd trade them in a heart beat! But they like it too much.
Thank you! Not too bad concidering I've only had it a month now. I used to have to wait a while before I could afford to do anything to a car after buying it, but things just fell into place with this one and my the one I bought before it, which is a 99 ZX2. It's really been a great car to.
You should try driving something with a CVT. :hick: The effect of dropping the hammer on one of those is actually called Elastic Banding. It takes a moment to get the pulleys right, then it surges to the maximum torque and stays there. It feels kind of like building boost on a low compression turbo car that never runs out of breath.
The only problem is from the outside, you sound like a goon who is revving the out of your car and won't shift. It doesn't sound like it's accelerating because it never goes through the rev range and never shifts.
