Welp, after having a nice set of real SE white pony rims on the cougar, and stupidly selling them last year, I decided I missed the look.
So I went and bought these:

This time I am making a custom center cap for them, to get rid of the stallion in the middle. after they are painted one more time I will apply a black 2" Cougar emblem tomorrow and clear coat them.
I know they arent perfect, but they will do for now.:D Whatchyas think so far?

Lookin good man.
Did you paint them white? I noticed the white valve stems.
Nice wheels.Good work......And thanks for removing the Pony emblems.
Those did look really good on your car. I really liked the look a lot.
Going to paint my new rims and get some stickers/decals made for the center.
yes
I did. the valve stems were left untaped because it gets new stems with every mount. I have the four brand new stems here already, just waiting for the paint to get done and take them back to the shop and install them. for a refresher of basically what they looked like on the car:

Hey, that looks pretty good.
I thing I read once that Snowflake centercaps will fit Pony wheels?
Not that THAT would help you in this case though..
I wasn't saying it looked bad, I just noticed is all. I think it looks pretty good, even better since the ponies are gone.
-i found a set of Saleen center caps from back in the day i use on mine, i dont have a pic of them, but i will try to get one if it stops raining today. they just have a small "Saleen" offset to one side of the caps. nothing fancy, just different.......which im a fan of....:)
well here is the final outcome... sort of... I need to redo the center caps, but this is good enough for now.
Enjoy. LOL:

yep, i am, gonna need both too as the passenger side started rusting this year... PM me a price and we will work something out.
Looks great.
Im going to paint a set of Turbines black this summer, And clear the hell out of them. Hopefully they turn out nice.
How did you de-pony the center caps?
I have pony rims and a girl I'm currently dating claims she has some center caps witha tbird emblem that will fit the pony rims so I can't wait to go see lol take her on a date and get stuff for my car.... Sounds good
he might had just sanded it off smooth just like metal lol but actually my JY has more than a few sets of center caps that are just plain, just like that... i assumed they were common for projects just like that...
I removed the emblems then filled the holes with bondo... was a quick and shiznitty job. when I sold the car, (I still regret that one... :() I kept the rims and popped the bondo out and re installed the pony emblems and sold them to my buddy for his stang...
American Muscle has the Pony rims with plain caps and no emblems...
