I seem to remember some members talking about how hard it is to find nice original fenders. Well someone should jump on this deal (http://"http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1988-Thunderbird-Turbo-cp-L-R-Fenders-Header-Pnl-NOS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem150333353879QQitemZ150333353879QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories")...would be invaluable for anyone seriously in need of some.
For a $449 start bid I'm out. I'll crawl through JY's on my elbows to find one for ALOT less.
$449 for two NOS factory-made fenders and a TC header panel is a bargain. I paid $200 (CDN) apiece for Chinese knockoff fenders seven years ago, and that was when they were still available. Even the knockoffs have been discontinued (and they were - very thin metal, mounting holes not drilled in the right places, shape not quite right). If I had a need for 'em I'd be all over that.
Well this is coming from a guy that has to pay $1500 per fender for his other car so....... Guess I figured Mercury/Ford fenders would be cheaper than that.
Wholy . Nice "find".
-i already have a set.......:D
I hear that. Fenders for the olds would be about the same. :(
Ever tried to find inner/outer fenders for a Checker? Steel ones are impossible to find. I've heard you have to have fiberglass ones made....
