EDIT-
Sway bar links? Summit doesnt have any listed for our cars or the Stangs in Energy Suspension (swapping everything to Energy). But on O'Reillys site they pull up 4.5" ones. Is that right? If so Ill order them right now. They seem to get here faster than O'Reillys can get them to the store and cheaper.
Should I get strut mounts too? Wish I would have went the route Vinnie did with his A frames. Smart man. Now those bushings are going to have to wait.

The Mustang rack is the same as a T-bird.
The rack I bought has inner tie rods and everything, just had to add outers.
I would buy C/C plates whether you lower the car or not. They're worth the money.
What are you planning to do? Are you trying to make the car handle better, auto-x, or just do a mild resto-mod kind of setup?
Looks horrible IMO with the stance it has. Plus if I have anything in the car it goes sag ass on me. All the front end work needs done, manual rack was one of those just because things, and lowering is one of the "while Im in there..." kind of deals. Plus with the springs I get appearance and handling. I want a car that can handle its own.
Just take your time, don't get burnt out. I actually like your car, compaired to mine IT RUNS and mine doesn't!
Ball joints done. Springs, done. Brakes will be thrown on after work tomorrow, Need some grease and its too late to get any. Brake hoses done too.
For all those who say ball joints are a B^*&%, You need to try them with a press. In, out, done. SO easy.
Springs.... MAJOR PITA! You have to have the right compressor or your screwed. Always fun to dig out 23 yr old isolator too! Only the pass was broke, only once. Feel like I got nothing done. The springs caused a lot of problems due to the compressors I had.
Hope to get my brakes on tomorrow. The rack and tie rods Sunday.
~4.5" Endlinks are for stock ride height. If you dropped it 1.5" then you will need endlinks roughly 1.5" shorter...
So i guess i should see what the drop was? I didnt measure before though.
No...4.5" end links are for 80-82 cars.
83-88 use 3 3/8" ES part number 9.8119
I have been using these for 10-12 years....
YOu're using the stock sway bar chassis mount brackets, correct? The ones that are raised away from the frame?
Stock everything on the sway bar as of now. I did some more reading on the end links and I am going to try 2" ones. Closest I cold get to my expected drop. If they dont work Ill get new ones and return these.
As I said....the 3-3/8" ones work fine...
If these dont work Ill probably just run stock length.
Sway bar links came yesterday, ordered new Wagner Ceramics from RockAuto (clearance, part # PD310), Almost half of retail price shipped! Pads just got to the house today. Now Im just waiting on the rack.
I love new parts, even if they arent anything special.
