Title: Mustang Brake lines
Post by: ricktjr on March 21, 2009, 09:03:28 PM
Does anyone know if Fox  cougar front brake lines are the same length as Fox Mustangs ? I mean the line that runs from the hard line to the caliper.

accoreding to coolcats.net,

It says for the 11" front brake upgrade the mustang v-8 ones will work. I would assume any fox mustang with a v-6 or inline 4 or any other 1980-1988 fox tbird or cougar with 10" front brakes will work.

The Turbo Coupe and Mustang GT share the same lines, and are different from the V-6 and V-8 Birds/Cats.Just go to Autozone and pick up a couple of new ones. When it comes to brakes I don't take any chances using used lines.

And also make sure you use new banjo bolts...

I didn't on mine, and one broke.
Scary thing, at least I was on gravel less than a mile down the road from home.:hick:
