So I bought this ugly duckling for 350 cash last weekend, and I couldn't be happier with how it looks. It's scuffed, faded, and weather worn...exactly what I like to see. Call me weird, but I'm a real fan of the rat rod look.
All this aside, I've been building a 302 in my garage for the last year. It's about to come together, so I'm dumping the AOD and TBI 302 the car came with (which look pretty shady anyway...the motor cranks over, but no start, and it had two different pulley systems in it lol) and putting in my own C4/302 setup.
Before I pull this thing straight up and out, doubtlessly damaging some of the goods in the process, I'd like to know... How does the nose clip on to this car? If it's a simple removal process I will definitely pull it off first.
On a side note, I've disconnected the tranny from the crossmember, and dropped the crossmember itself. What else needs to come off the transmission before I pull it out?
tranny has back up lights and a neutral saftey switch. Pull the driveshaft out as well. I was able to pull the motor and tranny in one with a engine puller. The front clip bolts to the fenders and I think part of the bumper. I remember it being fairly easy to tell.
Backup lights and safety should just be wiring right?

Maybe so, but I'm hard pressed to find a bank that will finance my "stock parts" :P
