Title: SCT chips
Post by: tireshredder on March 17, 2009, 10:54:17 PM
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the multi program chip.  I have to get my computer reprogrammed (302 fuel map on an 351W), and a friend suggested this.  It would be cheaper than having someone else do it on a dyno, and the multi program feature would be sweet (have one for performance and econ).  Any reviews out there?

I'm a SCT dealer. They work very well. The multi postion chips
are the same price as a single postion chip. The cable and the switch
 run $8.95 ea.

If the car has basic add ons and is NA we can build a custom chip
with the tuned burned on it for your appliction.

 Hope this helps

So do I tell you (a dealer) what I have on the engine, and you can program it and send it to me, or does it have to be there for you work on it?  I know to get the most out of it, it will need some minor tweaking in person, but I'm not sure how well the car will run as is. With the nearest SCT tune shop is right in cop country, I'm going to need to drive it to get inspected first.  I'm never messed with tuning before (if you couldn't tell).

Yes,
Give the info like list of mods, injector size ,MAF size and if it is
calibrated for the injectector in the engine. Long tube headers or
shorties, cam size. It can be burned with these specs and be close.
Check with your local person and see how helpful he seems.
See if he has much exsprince(sp) with  EEC4(older computers)
Hope this clears it up some.
