I don't have much to go on here, but I am wondering if someone can help identify some coil springs I have. I believe them to be from a 1993 Mustang Cobra, but all they have is a yellow sticker that reads: 28.0/3375 NOL. Is this familiar to anyone? Thanks for your help, Cooter
Not sure of the code, but those sound like 93 Cobra springs as they used a lower spring rate than the GT's.
The 28.0/3375 is the spring rate in N/mm and the load rating in N.
This translates to a 160# spring rate and a 760# load rating.
They were a constant rate spring, not progressive like the GT's. They were also the same springs used on the NA, base equipped 2.3L Mustangs.
Thanks Chuck, I doubt these springs would be of any use on my T-Birds.. And I wonder if there is any need for them seeing as base Mustangs had them. I guess I'll find out when/if I try to sell them.
Thanks again,
Cooter
