ok so my 91 has a e303 cam 1.6 roller rockers larger throttle body and maf (can rember the sizes off the top of my head) and a stock fuel pump I think. and stock injectors when Im parked it smells very rich but when i romp in it just sits there for a sec or 2 also i dont know if it was tuned after the new maf and cam could that be it
I bet your problem is caused by an improper/unknown MAF. Stick the stock one on and I bet it'll run much better...
No e-cam and e7 head 5.0 will need more than 19's-- N/A anyway.... What gears are you running and is this an auto trans equipped car?
No thinking, no guessing. You want help; give us the info we need in order to assist you in correcting your issue. Otherwise you leave a lot more up to chance and when you get the wrong answer because the info provided is incomplete or incorrect.;)
I have an E cam,Mass Air,1.6' rollers,and more,andd the 19# injectors are doing great.
70mm tb(bk) 73mm maf (ford)
I will look tonight at my fuel pressure
also it is a aod car with 308gears im going to swap in a m5r2 and and a tri-lock with 3:27 in the next few months
What Ford came with a 73mm MAF? It *could* be a C&L MAF. If it's not a C&L 73mm MAF then the MAF is
more than likely your problem. The
ONLY FACTORY MAF that will interchange with the 55mm MAF found stock on 89-93 5.0 Mustangs and 91-93 5.0 T-birds is a 70mm MAF housing and sensor (with part number F2VF) from the following cars:
92-94 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, and Town Car
94-95 Mustang V6 or V8
AOD + E-Cam = Need for more gear/stall.
If you're dead set on swapping the M5R2 in don't worry 'bout the stall on the AOD so much but the gear swap should be paramount.
What was the original ? 70mm TB is way to much for your set up.
Back off of that and 19's will be fine.
