I'll be attending the NY Auto Show on wednesday (3/30/05). I know it's not a LOT of notice, but I was wondering if anybody wanted pics of anything in particular. Of course I'll be taking pics of the Shelby GT500 and the Ford GT, but anything else you might want let me know!
They gonna have the 150 lightning?
I know they dident at The Detroit auto show
if they do could you please
If I wanted a pic i'd take the 30 min ride :P
That's because there is no more Lightning. :hick:
Yeah, but others can't.....you've seen the map thread.....
ah but according to svt there is a lightning concept it just hasn't been released yet http://www.svt.ford.com/conceptLabLightning.asp
Just like I'll take a 30 minute ride to CatJam this year and every year. :hick:
Indeed
I just wanna see if anything has changed from the pic i have
Last I read, in the march issue of Motor Trend, John Colleti said the new F-150 was too heavy for SVT to work with. That's why they have the Adrenaline concept at new york.
This is a cool posibility though. http://www.musclemustangfastfords.com/features/0304mmff_lbolt/
This, in that. If only there was any way of making a Ranger look good.

And those are 345's he's lighting up.
That would be awesome if it came to being produced, because that would mean chevy would probably try and stuff a V8 in thier extremes. Or maybe even (gasp) Make an ss s-10. But i like the ranger idea.
the ranger has actually been around for a long time, im suprised it has seen production yet, they stuffed the lightning drivetrain in it probably 3 years ago
SS Colorado? Yeah, that would be cool. Or just turbo the I6 like they did in the TT Trailblazer Concept.
Just saw John Colletti's name mentioned and wasn't sure if ya'll were aware yet that he is retiring.
Yes, I did know. Tai Tang (sp?) is taking over SVT. (the guy who built the new Mustang)
Yes im sorry i frogot they got rid of the s10/Sonoma and replaced it with that Colorado.
Really? I think the new bigger Colorado and Canyon are twice the truck. I never was an S-10 fan. My dad had two and my brother had one. Though, dad's 4X4 was a lot cooler.
They need to use this powerplant in an SS Colorado. http://motortrend.com/future/concepts/112_0203_blazer/
Anyway, I'd like to see some pics of the SRT-8 Charger and Grand Cherokee, but mostly, some more pics of the Commander. It's like the Cherokee's big brother, with similar looks.
Here is the Adrenaline. Some of the lighting in certain areas was horrible and I tried to fix the pics best I could so:
Also, a lot of the cars were LOCKED. Apparently, after a couple of days of inconsiderate people tearing seats and ripping door handles off some of the car manufacturers became a little upset: I observed a 5 inch tear in the rear seat of an $88,000 Jaguar.....
The Ford displays were by far the attractions of the show. I snapped off these 2 pics of the new Shelby concept vehicle while holding the camera overhead...This was the best I could do after visiting the car 3 times.
Would you believe this is a Lexus? In the rear picture behind the two outboard screens was a fan on each side that pulled air in. Pretty cool.
This is a tricked out version of the new Chevy HHR. Not bad looking. Even the regular version was quite pleasing to look at. Too bad the OPTIONAL motor will be the 2.4L 170 HP Ecotec......In the background Of the top pic is the standard version.
The first 2 are of a concept based on the Jeep Liberty. I can't remember what they called it :sorry: The bottom was a trail they had set up in a tent. You could drive a Jeep up that hill and through a little river they had as well. The wait was about 2 hours. Too long for me.
That Lexus is cool. I was reading about it in the new Motor Trend, and the rear grilles are for the radiators. Very unique.
The Tricked out HHR was done by West Coast Customs. I think it was at the Chicago show first.
Wicked pics, man. How cool was the GR-1?
The name of the liberty clone last i heard was NITRO and good pics, I like the original design Lightning thanks for the pics. That lexus is fricken sweet, not so fond of the Chevy HHR. The HHR reminds me of that abomination of a vehicle also knowen as the vibe. And i dont like vibes.
GR-1 was hands down THE NUMBER 1 ATTRACTION AT THE SHOW! Looks absolutely sweet.
