Well, been driving the Sport since Thursday, the SHO broke the belt tensioner for the water pump, and power steering belt. Had to press the Sport back into service, and it's been great!!:D Definitely needs more power though, lol.
Really love driving these cars, everything is as it's supposed to be, good seats, nice ride, great handling. Been sitting for a couple months and jump in and starts right up, purrs right along, just like it was just driven the day before.
For anyone who thinks getting parts for these cars are tough, try finding parts for a SHO sometime....lol. :punchballs:
Hoping this spring and summer, I can do a little about the lack of power, and install some of the parts I have collected for the Sport.:D But it still is a bright spot in my day to be behind the wheel of the Sport again. Just hope I can get the SHO fixed before the weather gets bad again. (Got parts shipping out monday, for thr SHO)
Just thought I would ramble for awhile, about the joys of driving the Sport again. Thanks.:burnout:
Thats good to hear man...roads oughta clean up around here by later this month...ish....lol I cant wait to get back in mine, the 'vic is getting kinda lame. :rollin: :(
SHO's always made me mad how they always broke something impossible to get right away at the worst times. Thats why I got out of them.
Good for you! I still have 3 more months of winter yet, and even then my car won't be done. :hick:
Can't really complain lol, this is the first problem I've really had in 3 years with it. 300+ miles a week.:D
Oh she's not done, I haven't even started...lol.:burnout:
Just be happy its not a Gen III. I had a 97 and hated it so much my 91 was way better.
Yea, I know what ya mean, about the Gen III. Love the V8 sound, can't stand the styling.:hick: Wouldn't mind a 3.4 V8 5spd in a Gen II though, of course with welded cams.
Yeah, I'm a bigger fan of the Gen I's. I liked my 97 when I got the exhaust done. Nothing sounds crazier than a V8 Taurus.
I wouldnt mind a Gen 4 paddle shifted....
I miss my SHO and that thing was a time bomb. They guy before me really had to of abused it. I hated the Gen I styling until I bought my Gen II. Then I started to like the Gen I more an more. Gen III started to grow on me after a while too.
There is a Gen III with TC hood scoops on it. Hood was on a white one but from what I hear it is back on the car it came from, which I also hear is a Gen III MTX car. Might be finding its new home here in STL shortly also. If it does happen then I will grab some pics.
Yeah, I've seen his car its fast. I wanna say he calls it Storm Trooper since its white.
Yeah not sure. Hood should be on a black one now.
SHOs are fun cars but HUGE money pits. It'll be nice to see the Gen VII SHO making its return to the world without the pain in the rear Yamaha engine.
