but i am using the CHE performance parts for the tbird/cougar. really nice pieces and fit the mark better than expexted. i need to get it to a chasis shop. there they can install the torque box re-enforcements, and put on the subframe connectors. then im back underneath to do the panhard bar. After that done deal on this end, save for the exhaust, and new gas tank(possibly).

who widened your wheels?
good eye. nost dont notice. but anyhow company called weldcraft in michigan. take a look at my cardomain in the users ride and i have pics of these wheels and my other cobras they did for me in late 2000.
It might be the pic, but isn't your pinion angle a little high?
Or maybe not high enough. check the gaps on the joint, it might be the pic.
yeah alil. i still need to have the upper and lower torque box re-enforcements welded in. im no welder so it goes to a local chasis shop on friday. when they do that and the subs, i was going to have the pinion angle done then.
Pretty mean set up there though. Whats in the front to to do the rear like that?
its not the most powerful setup, but i plan to do alot with this car. and add one more power adder too.so i choose to eliminate any forseeable weaklinks.

I'm impressed!,Love to see the final end.
X2
Nice! Wish they made that swarr bar for a 7.5"....
Very nice man, You know I thought I read somewhere the 80s Cougars didnt have rear sway bars but mine has one....
Just a wayward thought.
yeah i gotta figure a way no to get the sway bar back on in place. shouldnt take to much.
You must have been reading from the book of wrong info then.
The basest of the base-model cars might have not had a rear swap bar, but the majority of the Fox cars did.
Thats why I thought it didn't make sense. Mine has one and so did the GS I have too. I was like ummmm.........
Thats enough thread jacking out of me.
I like what you've done looks very nice man.
its all good, conversation keeps threads alive. thanks for the comments.
Looks great Vic, can't wait to see the finished product. I know it's gonna be badass. :D
That rear reinforcement is sweet - I was planning on installing one of those this year. I'm surprised I missed this post previously as you post on the Corral too - guess it was the subject line! :D
How was the install on the rear girdle? It's looks real nice and I need to beef up my rear before I spin a tube - I already broke my locker (which took out the gears) last season - lol. KB torque - YEAH! :headbang:
sorry for the late reply coucar5.0. everything was not necessarily a breeze, but the components did go together well. we just put the last piece on at the beginning of the month. it sa MM panhard bar. had to notch the shackle bracket to accept the axle brace, but all went well. as far as the girdle no issues at all. che makes a quality piece, and im glad the foxbody mark and tbird/cougar platform are that closely related, so i could take use of these parts.
