I was thinking Blue body silver where the painters tape is. What do you think? Ignore the hole.:hick:

Heres a little farther back the line on the door will follow the body line all the way to the front and will taper to a point. I will try to get better pictures later.

Ahh now I get it, sorta like this: but without the text.. i kinda like what 5.8 Fastcat (Greg) did and used that stripe to break up 2 colours.. i'm not sure what kind of effect it will have on one solid colour.. try it out and see.

Yeah I think thats the best and closest version of what I wanna do. I love the look of his car. The jury is still out on the paint colors but I'll get it figured out at some point. I feel that would be a good look on an 85.

I agree. the way the body lines are on these cars, it's pretty much asking for a stripe of this nature.

It just looks like it belongs there, it has such a DEFINED body line. I really can't see myself painting it any other way.

Hey I did this a while back with an extra grille I had. The top one is completely blacked out the bottom is blacked out in the grille area. I also have two sets of blacked out headlight bezels. All done with Polyurethane.

I like the stripe idea,but not the color combo.In the long run,it's up to you and your personal taste.It's also hard to judge until it's actually painted.It may turn out better than you could imagine.Go for it.

I'm thinking a three color deal now top stirpe and bottom I know its been done but I've only seen it on an 87-88 so I think I'm okay.

i'm planning the same orange and black combo on my cougar too as greg.

I like that but I'm not 100% on color combos yet I'm still canvassing paint chip books.
