Title: looking for parts or parts car 85-88 tbird
Post by: 86sonicbird on February 12, 2009, 02:46:09 AM
ok here is the story, my first car was a 83 v6 tbird heritage. It was a carb car with an auto. When I was 16 I transplanted an efi 5.0 ho, t-5 swap. I loved that car and with heads and some juice it went 11.53 back in 1995. I stripped the car and built a mustang coupe years later and junked the body. All these years I have still kept my grandmothers 86 tbird elan. About 4 years ago I stripped it down to mini tub and build a 347 single turbo car. I have decided I want to "clone" my original 83 as more of a driver but custom. I am going to just do a mild 302 and t-5 in it, but I threw out many NOW usable parts. I need a tank, filler neck, straps, fuel lines from a 87-88 v8 car, misc other items. I have many wiring harnesses and fox mustang parts. The car only has 72,000 original miles but has some light rust. I had it soda blasted years ago but would like to find perfect doors and front fenders with out the curb light and could use a perfect deck lid. If anyone could help that would be great. I am located west of chicago. It is time to build the tbird I never could afford back then, lol

I have a decklid from a 1983, and I also have a complete 1986 Parts Car. I planned to pull just about everything off the parts car including fenders and doors for my own spare parts in support of my 1985, but I guess I would let the doors go (guessing the fenders aren't in nice enough shape). I'll take some general pics and you can take a look to see if you want to make an offer on any of it.

The doors look about the shape of mine, the inside lip is starting to go but I was hoping to find perfect doors. Thanks anyway
