The engine was built for a supercharger, I had planned on 14lb of boost.  The shortblock is a DSS Racing 331, Stage 10 Pro Bullet shortblock, 9-1 compression ratio. The engine was completed with: Ford Racing "E" cam, Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads and intake, Crane roller rockers, hardend pushrods, and BBK 70mm throttle body/EGR spacer.

It dyno'd at 260 rear wheel horsepower with all emmission equipment installed. Assuming 15% reduction for the 6-speed and cats,, the engine is easily a 300+ HP as-is.

Anybody else see anything wrong?

260 at the wheels is what around 320-330 at the crank, seems a little low for a 331.

Depends on what kind of dyno he was on.

yeah, if he actully went ahead and supercharged it, it'd be better. 9:1 aint much n/a, and an E cam and edelbrocks are ok, but thats more mild 302 stuff, not really ideal for what should be more of a serious 331. for the price its realy not bad tho, good potential.

Anybody who runs on a Mustang Dyno will specify.
I'd want at least a port job on THOSE PARTICULAR heads....I'm guessing they're OOTB untouched.

Perhaps something akin to Lou's cam with 1.7's.....Maybe a touch more duration @ .050 though 10* or so...

T-56's are known to take 15-17% depending on the application.....Using 17% that works out to 312 FWHP.
Using 15% would work out to less....

wow thats a nice birdy!
good cam, ported heads and intake, that alone would be a good powerful motor
never mind throwing boost on it

Lets see....9 to 1 compression, performer heads, "E" cam, Edelbrock intake, 70 mm TB, etc...

It seems that engine should make more than 260 RWHP. Must be a real conservative tune.
