LOL I read 2250 at first and I was thinking that sounds like a good deal.... Then I read the post title again. What BJ has done to the car scene.... Everyone has a collector now. Although if it was in the he describes with almost no miles then it could be one.... if our cars become popular (I hope they dont).
Yeah I mean...I'm sure it's a really nice specimen, but even on ebay, the nicest low mileage TCs go for like 7-8k at most.
This is a perfect nominee for Jalopnik's "Nice Price or Crack Pipe" poll.
LOL. My dad say "Put the f&*(^&' crack pipe down" when I tell him my elaborate plans all the time. Think it is favorite quote, but defiantly something you have to see/hear him say it to be funny.
WTF is this as far as i know they were called Turbo coupe's not mach Ones.
There is information over at www.turbotbird.com (http://natomessageboard.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=021196) about the Mach I special editions. TurboCoupe50 has one also.
That being said, this asking price is probably slightly more than the cost of the car when new. Although there has been a general upswing in TC car and parts pricing for the last year or so, I really don't see any price justification for this particular car other than being a rare color. The harsh realities of the market will likely set in soon enough.
Then again, last week a NOS Turbo Coupe molding piece sold for $133 US on eBay. Never discount people that have money to spend in a free market. ;)
His picture taking ability is very poor.
I've noticed the prices going up as well for these cars.If they did get more popular, perhaps there may be a small aftermarket for more parts.I read that the musclecars and a bunch of 70's cars are either climbing fast in value,or are already out of reach for most people. So,it makes sense that the cars from the 80's will start to find a bigger group of interested collectors.Without that,I would bet we're really going to be hurting for parts in a couple more years. Not much out there now.

$22,500 could get me a real Mach 1 from the early 70's.
