Putting my new set-up together. Forgot where on the hell the PCV end screws into.

And im kind of confused as to which vacuum lines do what. I have no boost controller at the moment, i will be purchasing a Ric Gillis manual set-up soon enough. Is my wastegate line plugged into the right spot on the turbo, i believe it is.

Anyways i just need to clarification on things. Thanks

That thing in the picture is the oil separator, not the PCV valve.

Isnt it the positive crank case vent? from the valve cover to the plug on the snout on the ihi turbo i believe. but now it has all changed the whole set-up so im just wondering what to do with it. should i tap into the inlet tube on the intake like it was before?

Here is a trick I would do in your shoes. Take a PCV valve with a 90* barb on the top, and press that in place of your oil separator on top of your valve cover. From there, run a hose to a catch can, and then from the catch can, run it to a nipple that you would drill and tap on your intake tube.

What this does is ensure that at all times, your crank case is under vacuum and your rings will seat a bit better, especially if you have some miles on your car.

Could i just run it to a bung in the intake instead of having a catch can and then running it to the intake tubing?

No, that is just the breather assy from the valve cover that conneted to the turbo inlet.  The PCV stock location is on the driver side of the engine.
The block oil separator is under the intake and a hose comes up by the dist and the PCV is in there.  It then connects to the underside of the upper intake.
You can just put a bung on that turbo inlet pipe just like the stock set-up if you like. The catch can just acts as a "catch" for any oil vapors that may travel along and keeps them out of the intake.

I don't run a PCV on my car.  I have a catch can w/ a breather.  I run a hose from the oil separator on the block and one from the valve cover to the catch can.  I think have a small hose that runs from the catch can to the turbo inlet to put some vacuum on it.  Haven't seen any oil in the catch yet and the car does not smoke (or suck up oil into the intake).

Chuck, do you have a drain running from the catch can to the crankcase?

Nope, no need.  I get MAYBE a drop of oil when I open the valve on the bottom.  Not worth the extra effort.
