Ok, it's more chemistry than technology but is there anything out there comparable or better?
I've got a TC rear axle that needs some appearance improvements.... and a couple larger projects that will probably use whatever I learn on this one.
I used it on mine, tough stuff been holding good so far about a year, But it's not in the weather.
oughta do up the f150's frame in that stuff, reviews that I've heard are good.
My cousin used some on his Trans Am and loves it. There's also some comparable stuff sold at Advance Auto that I've heard is good. I don't remember the exact specifics of it though.
I haven't used it, but the guys at the truck site I am on swear by POR-15. They use it almost every where when they build the trucks. Just remember it doesn't like perfectly clean metal or being applied over paint. As I understand it, it means Pour Over Rust, but I ain't sure what the 15 is for.
You need to use the the metal prep they sell to, not cheap either. ic uses something that might be cheaper , hit him up.
Used it all over my 89sc,no rust so far this winter.
Por-15= the best.
Zero-Rust
about $50 a gallon
comes in many colors too
Thanks for the replies guys. I'll take a look at the Zero Rust too..... I've got a boom for my tractor that'll make a good comparison tester.
They also say that Por is to hard, and hairline cracks start, which lets the air back into rusted areas
Where's the best place to buy a rattle can or two of Zero Rust? Says they don't ship from their web site anymore and there may be a dealer in my area. Body shop supply? Regular auto parts store? Wally World? Somewhere online?

Thanks. I'm going to check the body shop supply house in town but if they don't carry it I'll head there.
